Catching up

In case you hadn't heard yet...
We have a date for surgery. June 28th is the day! Pacemaker and aorta repair. Still not happy that it is so far out but what can you do?

The scheduler from the Heart Clinic called me on Friday and said "I have kind of a funny question for you." Basically, our local WCCO channel 4 news wants to do a story on the recent renovations of our Children's Hospital and needs a family to follow through the process. Our cardiologist recommended us! We told the boys this and I began to ask "Is this something you would want to do?", only I wasn't even able to finish the IS when all the boys started yelling YES! They are so excited. Matthew will love it. I am terrified but at least we have something to keep our minds off of our fears for surgery, right?

Here are some odds and ends from the last couple of weeks.

This is Isaac helping Noah do his chores.

This is how Isaac greets Noah coming home from school. So cute! Isaac has been telling us that we are his best friend he ever had. Not sure where that came from, but funny!

Putting in the garden. We planted, carrots, peas, lettuce, tomato, peppers, cantelope, cucumber, green onion, pumpkins. We also have a bed of strawberries, an apple tree, a grape vine and blueberries.

Noah had Grand Day at school. His "Grand" guest was his dad since we have no grandparents close by. I tried to get video up for our grandparents but it won't work. We'll have to send you a copy.

We made it back from Aunt Sandy's funeral in time for Joshua's Band Concert thanks to Isaac getting very sick on the trip. Now it's been through the whole family. Glad to almost have it through and gone. No one is allowed to be sick the rest of summer!!! The concert was great! It is fun to hear the progress they have made this year.
